Summer Sunrise and Sunsets On The Equator Hunt – The theme of this hunt is Calypso Music and Carnival. Inspired by the West Kaiso music of African slaves, the calypso and carnival were born in the French-run plantations of Trinidad. Calypso has earned its place in history as the national folk song of Trinidad and Tobago and the music of the Caribbean after the emancipation of the slaves. The Mas tradition started in the late 18th century with French plantation owners from Martinique organizing masquerades (mas) and balls before enduring the fasting of Lent. Carnival in Trinidad March 3 and 4 Ash Wednesday is he 5th of March this year.
